The shadow, not the fixture
Ombra divides a room the way dusk does: a defined pool of warm light beneath it, a slow grade into shadow above and around, with the pendant drawing the line between the two. Choose matte white and the fixture itself stays luminous in the dark; choose hammered black and it becomes a silhouette, the light seeming to arrive from nowhere at all.

Where the geometry comes from
Ombra is simply the Italian word for shadow, and the honest origin here is the studio's own thesis rather than any historical pattern: a parametric study in how much light a form should hold back. No tradition is referenced and none should be claimed — the name already says everything the piece is about.
