Where the geometry comes from
Memoria descends from a real lineage: the lithophane, a technique that emerged in 1820s France and flourished in the porcelain workshops of France and Germany, where an image hidden in a translucent panel appeared only when light passed through it. ZeynLabs' O-cast system carries that idea into padauk, a Central and West African hardwood prized for its vivid ember-red heartwood, so the reveal happens in warm wood tones rather than porcelain white.
